Visitor Memories

Beautiful memories shared by Jennifer from 2009 - 2019

"I redesigned the council border along the footpath outside the entrance gates, with butterfly inspired planting in 2018 before I left Stratford District Council - a nice moment for me as my mum, who has since passed away, absolutely loved to visit the butterfly farm when she came down from Lancashire to Wellesbourne to visit me and her grandchildren.

We would always enjoy your butterfly planting at the entrance. We once went to the Butterfly Farm for my little ones birthday - it was his first visit and we were very excited but he fell asleep through the whole entire experience! The adults still enjoyed watching butterflies hatch. A magical moment completely missed by the little one!"

Memories for Jim Bowker – Shared by Laura

'In June 2024, we shared what would unknowingly become our final anniversary outing together to the Butterfly Farm. It was a magical day, filled with light, colour, and laughter, a day we will always hold close. It became even more special when our son Jack joined us on our third day. He loved every moment, just like we did.

Jim was diagnosed with terminal cancer in January 2022, and after a brave and courageous battle, we lost him in January 2025. He was just 46.

To celebrate 2024, a year that gave us one last beautiful wedding anniversary memory together, we visited the Butterfly Farm. The butterflies we saw that day were bold, vibrant, and free... just like him. Their beauty and energy captured his spirit perfectly.'
