Team Butterfly representatives were able to see first-hand how the source of live African butterflies has changed subsistence farmers into conservationists, saving the Arabuko Sokoke Forest and supporting the livelihoods of the people living around it.
This is an amazing project to work with and even more amazing that you can see the butterflies from this project flying around our butterfly farm in Stratford!
Stratford Butterfly Farm would like to thank all our lovely visitors that have made donations to this project when they have visited the farm. During the conferencewe were delighted to hand over to project managers Hussein and Mathias $400.00! This money will go directly to the project to help them continue to promote nature conservation and community living. For more information about this project follow the link.
Take a look a the following news clip in the link below and become inspired by what the Kipepeo Project has achieved and how something as simple as butterfly breeding has protected the Arabuko Sokoke forest!
